Unfortunately I lost "Adventurer's Unlimited: The Grand Canyon Caper" to a damaged hard drive and no backup, but perhaps with the deadline extension I can recreate the story from memory and make the monsters more important or prominent to the story (the reason I didn't send it in sooner before the hard drive failure). At least I have a while yet to get it rewritten.

I've abandoned recreating that story (really need to get the original file back off the old damaged hard drive) and have begun a new story "Island of the Mysterious Warp" about missing aircraft and an island appearing out of nowhere between Hawaii and the US mainland in 1936. The story is still undergoing revisions, but I hope to have it ready for submission later this month (it's still 1,800 words too long at present).

I submitted it a few days ago, final length 9,800 words, and I hope the Word file attached got there. I may be able to come up with another Professor Midnight Costumed Masked Mystery Man of Adventure (I call him that to differentiate the character I first created for the Champions Superhero RPG in the 1990s from another character named Professor Midnight - a title character wizard from two other writers' 2005 novel) story for Leviathan: Monster Hunter in the near future.possibly set during World War II.

I want to send an extremely heartfelt thanks to all of the authors that submitted stories - this one was close to being a double volume. I feel very confident in saying that there will be another foray into Steampunk territory in the not-too-distant future.
